Strasbourg has one of the biggest railway stations in France and is connected by direct lines to many French towns (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Montpellier, Nîmes and Lille; as well as Bordeaux, Nantes and Toulouse only during summer).
Strasbourg stands at the intersection of major international trunk roads and also benefits from excellent connections with many European cities (Brussels, Luxembourg, Basel, Bern, Zurich, Stuttgart, Munich, Sarrebruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Milan, Rome, etc).
And in 2007, thanks to the TGV (express train), Strasbourg will be about 2 hours from Paris, 3 hours from Brussels, 4 hours from Nantes and London and 5 hours from Bordeaux. From the railway station, an underground direct access is possible to the tramway station.
